Na`Vi send HellRaisers packing

Natus Vincere have advanced to the Lower Bracket final at the SL i-League Invitational #1 after defeating HellRaisers 2-0 (16-8 on Overpass and 16-13 on Mirage).

Day three of the SL i-League Invitational #1, in Kiev, continued with an interesting clash between Na`Vi and HellRaisers. After a dominant display from Na`Vi on Overpass, HellRaisers came close to equalising the series on Mirage, only to falter at the final hurdle. With the victory, Na`Vi will move on to the Lower Bracket final, in which they will face GODSENT.

Kirill "⁠ANGE1⁠" Karasiow opened the game up with a trio of kills in the pistol round to put HellRaisers (Counter-Terrorist) in the lead. After an eco round, Na`Vi rallied back, and that win turned into a streak as they took control of proceedings.

The scoreline bloomed to an 8-4 advantage in favour of Na`Vi, but Tomáš "⁠oskar⁠" Šťastný single-handedly prevented the CIS team from running away with the lead, pulling off some impressive AWP actions to keep the deficit to a minimum at the end of the half.

The second half was a complete blowout, however, as Na`Vi dropped just one round before locking down the map 16-8.

Na`Vi through to the Lower Bracket final 

Next up was Mirage, where HellRaisers got off to a flying start, storming to a 6-0 lead. After calling a tactical pause to discuss their offense, Na`Vi strung four rounds together, but HR kept their opponents at bay and closed out the half with a 10-5 lead.

Na`Vi got within touching distance of their opponents by winning the pistol round and the corresponding anti-ecos on the CT side. A double entry kill from Patrik "⁠Zero⁠" Žúdel then powered HellRaisers to win first full buy round of the half, with the European mixture following it up with another round to break Na`Vi's economy.

With a 12-8 lead and a solid bank, HellRaisers looked to be in the driving seat, but a massive blunder saw them lose the following round against a fully eco Na`Vi. That turned out to be the defining moment: Na`Vi won eight of the following rounds thanks to their huge economic control, as displayed by the fact that they ended the game with an auto-sniper and two AWPs.
